'Rang De' is not in the Film
Told by the singer of the song, Suraj Jagan, himself.

(About)My Name Is Khan...

I’ve met Shah Rukh (Khan) only once and that was not during the making of My Name Is Khan. Rang de was recorded only last month and I was surprised because the film is just about to be released.

What is Rang de like?

For me, the most interesting thing is that it starts off with the line, ‘Suraj ka naya chehra tore dar ka har pehra’. That is ******* for me right now! It is about hope and doing what you like. It is about courage. I don’t think the song is there in the movie. It is just there on the soundtrack.

the song doesnt fit into the film

why doesn't the song fit into the movie?! it talks about peace and harmony and how we should stand up for ourselves.. probably THE MOST RELEVANT song in our present times.

well I really think this movie is so different concerning the songs....if Rang de is not in the film and I agree with that though I think now the movie is too sad to have a quick rythm song.....and if Allah Riham is at the end so we won't see but three songs "Noor, Sajda, Tere Nina"

They are so lovely songs, but I agree totally that if this movie's story is so intense and it is also directed to world wide audience so there should be no more songs. Great choice Karan and Great thinking.

i think the film just isn't meant to have songs in many places so it doesn't work though it would be nice because the whole soundtrack is SO AMAZING!

It's a pity if the song isn't there, I really like it. And funny, I had already imagined the picturization for it. Without understanding the lyrics I completely disagree with Shublee about it not fitting the film, I totally heard it on the background when seeing the clips of him travelling in the promos, especially the bus scene... The melody is made for a journey... IMHO.

not a fan of the song. The words is good but just the sound of it is no good.

i completely agree with Shaimaa & Mish :thumb:
i cant see the heavy, loud beat fitting in anywhere unless they are at a rock concert
and i didnt say anything against the lyric :rolleyes2:

and we're all expressing our own opinions here, no need to debate :peace:

i think the team made a good decision, and anyway this song was made after all the others have been made and adjusted into the film & the film was fnished so thats why they didnt add it
i think they made it to make it a whole album

a rock concert as in ROCK ON the film...?:D
I think those same people that did the song for "Rock On" did this song.:)
oh well....not everything can always fit into a movie.
Always cuts and edits so...
They know what they are doing.
I just can't wait for the film. Just one more week:dance:

"I think those same people that did the song for "Rock On" did this song."

Mish, I have had the same thoughts.

I think the music on the whole CD rocks. I love each and every song for the message it carries.
