Mumbai: The wait is finally over! For all those of you, who have been wondering when Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film ‘Raees’ was going to go on floors, we finally have a lead.

A picture from the shoot location has made its way to the internet. The film that is set in the 1980s era in Ahemdabad also marks the debut of Mahira Khan. Ahmedabad has changed a lot since then in terms of architecture and manner of living and hence an entire new set is being constructed at ‘Film City’ in Mumbai. The team is recreating certain parts of Ahmedabad from that time.

Also, they have some action sequences which they would prefer to shoot indoors rather than on a real location. It is a massive set up and there is work going on around the clock.

Shah Rukh recently wrapped up the international schedule of his film ‘Fan’ in Croatia, but due to an injury that he sustained while filming there, the actor was advised to take a 15-day break to completely recover.

Shah Rukh also mentioned in an interview that he would shoot a small portion of ‘Raees’ before heading to Goa to shoot for Rohit Shetty’s ‘Dilwale’, after the 15-day break.

The film’s director Rahul Dholakia also took to Twitter to announce the news of the project going on floors. He posted, “It's been 6 crazy days of #Raees shoot. The warm ups are over, time for major league action to begin... Soon..”

Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, the film which will see the 'Humsafar' star playing the wife of a gangster (Shah Rukh Khan), and will also feature critically-acclaimed actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui as a cop.

Here's a glimpse of the men at work construction the huge set.

Watch this space for more updates on the movie.
