Kajol should do more films: Shah Rukh Khan

One of Indian cinema’s most popular jodi, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol, rock and make the onlookers enjoy bondage they enjoy despite coming together after a gap of five years.

In Hyderabad for the last shooting schedule of their forthcoming film ‘Dilwale’ the combo had everyone listening in rapt attention, particularly during the brief interaction they had with a select media. They hope to recreate the magic that originates from their on-screen chemistry that stands incomparable.
Given his self, Shah Rukh spoke for most part, including retracing the journey from ‘Baazigar’ to ‘Dilwale’and accepted that ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge’ had set a benchmark that would be too difficult to be surpassed.

On his normally spoken about favourite co-star, Kajol, who looked stunning in a green long cut sleeve gown, King Khan regretted that ‘the very beautiful Kajol has reduced her work. ‘Yes, she has family responsibilities. However, I think she is a talent who should have worked a little more and scaled more exalted positions on the career front.

The best part of Kajol is that she heeds to her heart and signs films only after she likes the script/her role. To make it memorable, she actually lives each role she portrays. She has interpretation beyond technicality and is certainly a director’s dream performer.”

On what made her say yes to the script, “I really liked the idea of the film, I wanted to do something different and get out of my comfort zone. I have always liked to do interesting scripts. No run-of-the-mill stuff for me. So, I just grabbed the opportunity,” pointed out Kajol, whose negative role in Gupt is the best example of her willingness to experiment.

Commenting on the chemistry with Varun Dhawan, who plays Shah Rukh’s younger brother in the film, actress Kriti Sanon said, "He has a great energy whenever he comes to the set.” Shah Rukh paid tribute to the maker of Dilwale, Rohit Shetty. “Rohit makes the job easy for the cast.

Dilwale is all about goodness of heart, happiness and family values.” “At the end of the day, what matters more than awards is the recognition one gets when the audience praises your work. You keep on striving harder because every time it becomes difficult to surpass what you have done.

Every film cannot be a ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge’ (DDLJ). The bottom line is always, ‘can I make you happier that I made you last time’. Of course,,we shall forever strive to enact the DDLJ magic.” ‘Dilwale’, which will hit the screens on December 18, also features veteran actor Vinod Khanna, Boman Irani, Varun Sharma, Johnny Lever and Sanjay Mishra.
