Regardless of srk's insistence that He doesn't care about collections, let's take a peek: :D

Box Office Day, 6.30pm (Indian time) 13 November 2012
Jab Tak Hai Jaan Takes Mind-Blowing Opening

Jab Tak Hai Jaan Has taken a Fantastic Opening at the box office. The Film is absolutely Dominant everywhere in India.

Multiplexes in Major Cities like Gurgaon, Noida, Delhi, Chandigarh, Mumbai City are Nothing less than a 100%.
The Film Opened Like Ek Tha Tiger at Many Places. The Average Occupancy for Morning Shows is around 80-90%. This Figure will keep coming down and would become around 20-30% in the Evening.
If only Morning shows were to be considered JTHJ would have easily collected around 23-24 crore net on the first day. But, since the collections are going to drop the film will definitely come much lower.
First, we will see the drop in evening shows before giving and early estimate of the first day collections.

    JTHJ Takes Blockbuster Opening

by Shabdita Shrivastav (November 13, 2012)
[IMG]Diwali is an auspicious time for the trade and, in keeping with this tradition, this year too witnessed a grand release by Shah Rukh Khan. Yash Chopra’s last directorial venture Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ) hit the screens to packed houses in most parts of the country, adding to the festive mood.
In Mumbai, Vinay Choksey of VIP Movies says, “The opening of Jab Tak Hai Jaan was 70 to 80 per cent here. We are expecting collections to grow as the day wears on. The reports of the film are excellent too.”
In Delhi-UP, GD Mehta of Bobby Arts International adds, “The movie took a 100-per cent opening in our circuit. Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma have featured in a film together for the first time and the audience is really looking forward to the film.”
In East Punjab, Jaspal Dhingra of Nanaskar Enterprises says, “JTJH is a heartfelt romantic tale and everyone who has watched the movie loves it. Its opening here is 70 to 80 per cent. Yashji’s fans will love what turned out to be his last film.”
Sunit Singh of Aum Moviez says, “In West Bengal, JTHJ has emerged a clear winner as it has taken a 100-per cent opening. SRK is Begal’s favorite actor and, in this film, he’s doing what he does the best – romancing on the big screen.”
In CP, Sarang Chandak of Shri Rang Films says, “Multiplexes have shown an exceptional response to JTHJ, which has taken a 90-per cent opening here. The numbers are expected to climb with every successive show today and also during the weekend.”
According to Vasudev Chachan of Sunny Films, “JTHJ opened to 100-per cent numbers here and the audience has wholeheartedly embraced the film. Over the week, JTHJ will do exceptionally well due to the long weekend.”
Ravi Machchar of Sahyog Films says, “JTHJ has taken a 100-per cent opening in multiplexes and everyone is raving about the film and the love story. Shah Rukh Khan is back with his best genre and let’s not forget who directed the film. The film has lived up to our expectations. In Nizam, JTHJ has released across 140 screens.”
Jeetu Khandelwal of Movie Pioneer adds, “In Orissa, the opening of JTHJ is 70-80 per cent but we are expecting shows to be house full as the day proceeds.”
B H Basha of Bahar Enterprises concludes, “Though morning shows are usually dull in Mysore, JTHJ opened to 40-50 per cent. The later shows should be house full as advance bookings have been exceptional for this film.”
